American History Month recognizing that "documented proof
of Filipino presence in the continental United States falls on
October 1587." In California, moreover.

In celebration, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts presents a
diverse cadre of today's most inspiring writers and poets
hosted by Joel Tan (Monster) and Barbara Jane Reyes
(Poeta en San Francisco, 2005 Laughlin Award).
