There can be only one.

Gavin,

Only one of us is allowed to be king mischief maker during the festival.
Don't make me get all highlander on your ass and have to take you out on this notion.

Today's movie tally: 0
Today's drink tally: 5 (Mandarin tonic, 3 Scotch on the rocks, and a beer)

Giant Robot Reception and Directions in Sound v. 2.0.

Realization, my corporate sponsorship pass doesn't get me into anything. Fuck.

Derek from Giant Robot is not only incredibly gracious, but he claims to be good with children in spite of his general non-smiling nature. Plus, as pal C. noted, he's the only Korean I've ever met with actual Korean lettering to denote his tattoo. It's better than a chinese transmorgrofication literation which might accidentally mean something more akin to "dumpling".

On the showcase tonight included music videos for Skyflakes, Kid Koala, and Jin and performances by Spit Beatboxer Elaine Chau and poet Dan Diggity who's hair is intential. (you gotta have met him to know what I'm talking about)

If you've never met Dan before, he's cool. There's a reason why he's got 500 friendsters. He's caring and tender, kind, gracious, passionate and integrity bound. He's got your back. And you; because you know how earnestly good a person he is; always have his. We had some good heart-to-heart convo's tonight which encouraged me immensely.

The thing about the festival? Realizing that; as A.K. says; it really is the premier event for APAs in SF.
Also, that everyone sucks at shmoozing but if you're blessed or lucky, you get to have some killer nice convo's with brilliant people who put a little tickle bulb in your belly. Over beer.

Man, I'm so Korean someitmes. Half drunk throughout the whole festival.
Well, I aim to please.

Hey Min jung -
I second your Diggety Notion!
Dan's great. At the API Spoken word conference, the motto was "First there was the word, then there was the fist."

When Dan's face came up on the screen for the closing slide show, I shouted, "First there was the Head, then there was the Hair!"

Intentional. Like a khoosh ball, but huggable and with lotsa heart.
